What Our Clients Say
The Brief: Grow faculty and student participation in summer study abroad

"Doug and the team brought me into the British Studies Program to teach Art and to boost my university's global engagement. The BSP had been a tired program with few students from my campus wanting to participate. Doug changed this in one year and dozens of students took notice. I taught on BSP for almost ten years and loved every minute of parterning with Doug's team. When we got the chance to join The Catalyst, we jumped! I've taught on it since 2012 and see it as the greatest thing I do for our students!"

The Brief: Grow STEM and DEI participation in short-term summer study abroad
On our campus, The Catalyst grew in a few summers to be one of the biggest study abroad programs in Florida. We involved faculty from Marine Biology, English and Psychology. Globalizedu helped get our STEM students abroad! We were thrilled especially to have our DEI numbers rise dramatically on this program's platform to the point where 30% of our participants were students of color.

The Brief: Build upper-division STEM programming in Europe during the summer

"Even though we had our own well-established global programs in Europe, none of them fit our Psychology students' need for upper-division learning abroad. With The Catalyst, not only did we get exactly the courses our students wanted but also our faculty dove right in to teach in all four cities. I've personally taught in all the cities and can say this is the most popular and powerful study-abroad program my department has ever participated in. More than 150 UWRF psych majors have had The Catalyst as their way to the world."

The Brief: Build a national university consortium to support a study-abroad program
"I asked Doug's team to help develop a national reputation for my university in study abroad. His team took our existing programs and partner schools and went from coast to coast bringing motivated universities into our orbit. By the time I'd moved to become a President elsewhere, we had students from twenty state schools studying abroad on our platform and our consortium meetings were prestige events!"
